The theological courses I have done with Mukhanyo Theological College as far have upgraded my understanding of the Bible in a number of ways:
1. Firstly, there are so many concepts in terms of Biblical terms I have come across and have understood very well.
2. Secondly, the courses and the assignments have pinned me down to intensive study. This is taxing, but it has paid in dividends especially in my portion as a preacher.
3. I believe, in my case, I would not have been able to understand the Old Testament, because I have been avoiding it most of the time. But, because of the prescribed work, I have been able to go deep into the text of the Old Testament. With the help of the study guides, lecture notes, references, and other sources, like the DVD’s, I have gained a lot of understanding.
4. I am able to preach with confidence, because of the knowledge I have gained, that is helping me a great deal.
5. The content of the New Testament has been exposed in a better way and I believe I shall not preach out of context since the benefits from these courses are wonderful.
